I hope everyone enjoyed their (long) weekends. And now, back to the grind. Wait, am I calling this a grind? Of COURSE not.
- We should obviously open with the announcement from Couch Slut, and their upcoming new album You Could Do It Tonight. That’s set for an April 19 release through Brutal Panda Records. Check out the video for the new single, “Ode To Jimbo”, right now.
- Roads to the North is somehow already 10 years old, and to mark the occasion Panopticon is performing it in full over in Europe during a brief run with Falls of Rauros. An anniversary edition of the album is also on its way, with preorders opening up at the end of the week.
- Next up, Gatecreeper. They’ve marked their return with the first new track since 2021’s An Unexpected Reality. Give “Caught in the Threads” a listen, and remember to catch them supporting In Flames in a just a couple more months.
- Out of Prophecy, Botanist announced a new album and dropped a new track. Paleobotany is out on May 17, and “Aristolochia” can be heard (and seen) here.
- Closing out, we have a single from Rotting Christ, something we had been anticipating for a bit now. Check out “Like Father, Like Son” below. That’s the first single taken from Pro Xristou, which arrives on March 24 through Season of Mist.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
