The 430th edition of the Nine Circles Playlist is still reeling from the glut of great heavy music pouring out that frankly I’ve never heard of before now. Whether it’s the stoner doom instrumentals of Clouds Taste Satanic (second circle coming next week!) or the gnarled thrashy and trashy Axe Dragger I’ve been happily drowning in music new to me. Throw in some new music from Black Lung because I like to work in threes and you got yourself an opening paragraph, y’all.

The 9C crew have been putting their ears to the pavement, and came back with a treasure of sonic treats, including cuts from Fire Magic, new Mitski (I missed it when it came out last week, rectifying that now), Nervosa, the return of Frozen Soul, rock and roll courtesy of the The Distillers, and Kauan just to name the ones I’m willing to share…
