CANTO: Pathology, Cobra Spell, Imperial Triumphant, and More

Gonna go explore some canyons for a bit after this, so I’ll catch everyone later next week.

  • American death metal band Pathology have signed on with Agonia Records for the release of their 12th album. Sounds like that’s coming our way next year.
  • Black metal project Këkht Aräkh released a new single titled “Wanderer”, the first new material since 2021’s Pale Swordsman. Released in partnership with Sacred Bones Records, the video for that one can be seen here.
  • Switching gears completely, we have 80s-inspired glam metal unit Cobra Spell. The third single from 666, “Warrior From Hell”, can be seen and heard here. Their debut album is out this Friday through Napalm Records.
  • Imperial Triumphant gave us a video for a Wayne Shorter cover, “Nefertiti”. Check it out here. That’s the fifth and final offering in that series of covers.
  • And to see myself out, we have the new video from The Hellacopters for “The Electric Index Eel (Revisited)”. A physical reissue of Grande Rock, originally a 1999 release, is coming on February 16 through Nuclear Blast.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
