To start, we have Orbit Culture. Their new album, and first released through Century Media, will be out on October 3rd titled Death Above Life. A video for the title track can be seen here.
For a dose of modern metal this evening, check out the new video from Vestige for “Envy”. Their debut album, Janis, is out through Season of Mist.
Mystical heavy metallers Castle Rat announced that their latest collection, The Bestiary, will be out on September 19th via King Volume Records (US) and Blues Funeral Recordings. Here’s a video for the new track “Wizard”.
Deadguy set June 27th as the release date for Near-Death Travel Services, their sophomore album that’s been 30 years in that making. It will be out through Relapse Records and “War With Strangers” is the latest sample pulled from that effort.
Out of Brisbane, Aversions Crown are releasing a new EP on August 5th through Nuclear Blast titled A Voice From The Outer Dark. A video for the title track, the first in that three-song collection, can be seen below.

On a Deafheaven kick this week. Apparently.

We got some tours. Nile revealed a new track today titled “To Strike with Secret Fang”, a reminder that The Underworld Awaits Us All is out August 23 through Napalm Records. But! They also announced a co-headlining 2025 run with Six Feet Under. Here are those details.
Green Lung are bringing Castle Rat along for a run in September, kicking off on the 13th in Baltimore. Tickets go on sale Friday as usual.
And then on the other side of the country, Laceration have dates around the same time, joined by Molten. They’ll be supporting I Erode, which is out on July 26 through 20 Buck Spin.
And some black metal. 1349 set October 4 as the release date for The Wolf and The King, which will be out through Season of Mist. Give “Shadow Point” a listen here.
