Thank god we give you the Merriment for the week on Monday. Otherwise, Mondays would REALLY suck.

• I’m sure most of you are aware at this point, but Wayne Static passed away in his sleep over the weekend. Drugs were not involved. It goes without saying, but we offer our condolences from Horns Up.
• Machine Head have released ‘Night of the Long Knives’ off of their upcoming album Bloodstone & Diamonds. The album drops November 10th.
• There has been talk about Bill Ward featuring on the upcoming Black Sabbath album. That said, nobody seems to be taking ownership of the decision to bring him in or not.
• I don’t usually bring Foo Fighters up in this blog. But when they cover Black Sabbath and wear corpse at a Halloween show? Yeah, why not.
