The 412th edition of the Nine Circles Playlist can’t believe we’re in November, which means I need to get going on building end of year lists already. But first we have to acknowledge one of the picks submitted by the staff this week, because Vince’s selection of “A Praise Chorus” by Jimmy Eats World reminded me this is one of the best rock songs of the 21st century, and it’s been far too long since I listened to it, and sang it at the top of my lungs. Do it: you won’t regret it.
The rest of the 9C crew made sure we brought the requisite amount of extremity to the playlist, so don’t be alarmed. We’ve got brand new music from Yellow Eyes to upset the apple cart of the best releases of the year, along with Primitive Man and Trivium, with some Martröð for just the right amount of frustration trying to right the right special characters on the keyboard. There’s also the requisite metal classics to celebrate the season of the witch by the likes of Fastway, Mercyful Fate, and more.
Get listening. Stay safe. See you next week.
