The 416th edition of the Nine Circles Playlist is just thankful to have almost made it through the year, you know? And not gonna lie: hitting December means it’s time to setback and really listen, start to wade through the collection and nail down what hits, what sticks, and what gets tossed back into the ether. For me that means checking out these recent released from Ragana and Drowse, the new Blut Aus Nord, and whatever the heck Master’s Hammer have turned into…disco?
The rest of the 9C crew rest from the holiday feasting with a soundtrack comprised of tracks from Species (late discovery for me I’m thoroughly enjoying), the killer leadoff track from the new Pupil Slicer, some Despised Icon and a few outlaw country tracks from the likes of Stephen Wilson Jr. (I was hoping for prog but this is nice, too) and Chris Ledoux. Just right for settling the stomach after a day of feasting and avoiding any and all crowds for Black Friday.
