List season is in full swing. We’ll get started on that…at some point. But man, what a year, eh? Metal as a whole had a stellar showing and even though the quantity of releases wanes a bit over these next few holiday weeks, rest assured the quality does not. Case in point, this week’s Weft. Call it atmospheric, folk black metal, or whatever in between those you want, it’s a mesmerizing album so get on it (we’ll have more on this later in the week). Next up is Lychgate who scratch that avantgarde black and death metal itch very well. Then we’ve got Funeral Vomit who sound pretty much as you’d expect based on that name, and yes, it’s good. Beyond that we’ve got a handful or so more to check out so do that and we’ll be seeing you.
