Nine Circles

By the time these albums come out I’ll be high atop a mountain peering through the fog and snow from my comfy spot in front of a fireplace. Needless to say, I can’t wait. And that goes for the mountain spot as well as these new releases. It is a shorter list this week but still packs quite the punch. Let’s do it. 

Members of Gaerea have cross pollinated into the death / doom realm with Oak and are so convincing I think they missed their initial calling, Ashen Horde are on a rampage this year with a cracking, early, full length and now a follow up EP full of the same cracking black and death metal, and Italy’s Daemoniac triumphantly throw their hat in the ring of Swedish death metal (Swedeath if you’re nasty). Now, go and show these bands some love.
