The 392nd edition of the Nine Circles Playlist is in mourning after losing a friend suddenly. Please take care of yourselves, folks, and don’t ignore the little aches and pains. Thankfully I’m distracted by a lot of great new music coming out, including the first single from the forthcoming Psychonaut, the return of Byzantine and Between the Buried & Me, and Avkrvst’s latest, stranding a line somewhere between Porcupine Tree and Opeth.

The 9C staff have their own penchants and predilections, including Outergods, news of a new acoustic Panopticon, another single from Matt Jencik and Midwife, and a double “V” attack with Vauruvã and Veserpal in the mix, along with the exiting return of Arjen Anthony Lucassen outside of his Ayreon project.
