Remember how it was nice out yesterday and I drank like five beers about it? Well it snowed again today. And kind of a lot.

Polish death metal crew Embrional shared a lyric video for the new single “Obliteration Rites”. That’s an offering from their third studio album, Inherited Tendencies for Self-Destruction, which is set for March 21st through Agonia Records.
We seem to be starting on a death metal kick today. Swiss outfit Tyrmfar are releasing their new EP Symbiosis on March 28th through Wormholedeath and the latest single, “The Reckoning, Pt. 2”, can be heard here.
Doom force Katla are getting closer to their release of Scandinavian Pain, and today unveiled the new track “Dead Lover”. That album, by the way, is out on March 21st through Napalm Records.
Seattle extreme metal act Lacabra are releasing their self-titled debut album on May 9th through M-Theory Audio and recently dropped the third sample from that effort, “Enemy”.
It’s time to watch hockey, so let’s wrap this up with Cabal. A clip for the new single “Redemption Denied” is available below, and the release date for Everything Rots is now set for March 21st through Nuclear Blast.

CANTO: Bleeding Through, Cabal, Lacuna Coil, and More

The task list is getting shorter, but so is my energy at a rapid rate. One more day.

I’ve been on a metalcore kick lately, so we can open Thursday with Bleeding Through. They debuted the new single “I Am Resistance”, the latest from NINE. Their new album is out on February 14th through SharpTone Records.
Harakiri For The Sky are up next with their new single “Keep Me Longing”. Scorched Earth is out on January 24th through AOP Records, and they’ve got some North American tour dates kicking off shortly after with Swallow the Sun.
Cabal are releasing their new album on April 11th through Nuclear Blast, titled Everything Rots. Give “Unveiled” a listen here, a new track that features Matthi of Nasty.
My concert calendar is filling up quickly and another one I’m considering is SOM in support of Earthside. That starts next month, so for now we’ll give the new track from the former a listen, titled “Nightmares”. Let The Light In is out on March 14th through Pelagic Records.
Once again speaking to tours that intrigue me, we’re closing out with Lacuna Coil. The video for “Gravity” is below. Sleepless Empire is out on February 14th through Century Media. They’re also part of that Machine Head and In Flames tour I’m stoked about. Yeah!

CANTO: Mantar, Cabal, Destruction, and More

This is late tonight because there was much to do after work. Alright fine, there was like one thing to do after work. Leave me alone.

Mantar are releasing a new full-length on February 14th through Metal Blade Records titled Post Apocalyptic Depression. Check out the video for the leading single “Halsgericht” right now.
Out of Nuclear Blast, Danish deathcore heavyweights Cabal have revealed that their second album, Everything Rots, will be out on April 11th. The new single “End Times” can be heard here.
Harakiri For The Sky released a new track titled “Heal Me” which features Tim Yatras of Austere. Scorched Earth arrives on January 24th through AOP Records.
Four Stroke Baron have some live dates coming up in February and March (barely). They are nowhere near me, which sucks, but maybe you can make it happen! Here’s the schedule.
Let’s keep the album announcements rolling! Thrash veterans Destruction have set March 7th as the drop date for their 16th album, Birth Of Malice. That will be released through Napalm Records, and the video for “Destruction” can be found below.

Donuts & CANTO: Cabal, God Bullies, Gaerea, and More

This turned into a Friday morning post because, well, Thursday evening completely ran away from me. The good news is that it gets worse before it gets worse.

Let’s start our day with some noise rock out of Michigan. God Bullies are releasing As Above, So Below, their first album in 30 years (!!!) on October 4 through Reptilian Records, ~~today~~ yesterday they offered up “Cops In Plain Clothes” from that effort.
Cabal gave us the latest version of their industrialized deathcore, in the form of “Still Cursed”. That single features vocalist Aaron Matts of TEN56, and falls in line with a few dates over in Sweden and Denmark. I want to go to there!
Next, some Finnish modern metal in Arctis. Full disclosure: I don’t entirely know what “modern” metal is supposed to mean. Anyway! Check out their cover of Lambretta’s “Bimbo” here. The self-titled debut album is out on November 1 through Napalm Records.
Spanish black metal, just to cast a wide net this morning. Kreyl are releasing their debut album, Obscure Rise of Ancient Eulogy, on October 18 through Inverse. Check out the second single in “Nekromanteion of Ephyra” here.
Actually, more black metal to wrap up, and an entity that can do no wrong. Gaerea released a video for the new track “Suspended”, which is available below. As a reminder, which I hope you do not need, Coma is out on October 25 through Season of Mist.

CANTO: Judas Priest, Seth, Cabal, and More

I actually have no idea why I’m coming in so late tonight.

What do we have for tours today? Jinjer announced a North American headlining run, with support from Hanabie. and Born of Osiris. Those are September and October dates, and general ticket sales begin on Friday.
And a second one. Judas Priest are bringing Sabaton along for some North American dates, also in September and October. That would be the second leg of the Invincible Shield Tour and tickets go on sale Friday here.
Seth makes black metal that I like, so here’s their new track titled “Insurrection”. As a reminder, La France des Maudits is out on Bastille Day, July 14, through Season of Mist.
Elephant Tree are celebrating 10 years of Theia with the new video single “Try”… as well as three releases: a reissue of the album just mentioned, a reissue of 2020’s Habits, and Handful of Ten, a new album out on September 6 through Magnetic Eye Records.
We’ll end with the latest from Cabal. They released a new track in collaboration with Fabräk, titled “Sort Sommer”. The video for that is below like always, and here’s the streaming link if you prefer to go that route.

CANTO: Harm’s Way, Skálmöld, Deicide, and More

I just went for a run in what felt like the worst conditions possible. Time for a beer.

Icelandic viking metal crew Skálmöld are releasing Ýdalir on August 18 through Napalm Records, and today they revealed the second single from that effort. Give “Verðandi” a listen and watch here.
Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment announced a co-headlining tour later this year. They’ll be supported by Avatar and New Years Day, with the party kicking off on November 3 in Gary, Indiana. Tickets go on sale Friday through Live Nation.
Nu-deathcore collective Left to Suffer unveiled a video for “Consistent Suffering”, material from their latest album, Feral. They’re on the road in August and September with Distant, Justice For The Damned, and Cabal.
Death metal legends Deicide have signed on with the newly formed Reigning Phoenix Music for the release of their 13th album. The release date for Banished By Sin is still to come, so we’ll keep our eyes out as more details emerge.
Harm’s Way have an upcoming new album. Common Suffering drops on September 29 through Metal Blade, and with the announcement they released a video for the lead single, “Silent Wolf”. Give it a watch below.
