Psycho Las Vegas has announced a fresh wave of artists, and holy crap is this thing stacked. Emperor, Mayhem, Mercyful Fate, Carcass, High On Fire… I mean the list goes on and on. Get the full scoop, plus tickets options, here.
Alright, we’ve got some tours to share. We’ll start with Origin, Abysmal Dawn, Tombs, and Killitorous. Those are May and June dates, and yes, that is a stacked bill. Factoring in their adjacent tour with Misery Index, and it’s going to be a beast of a year for Origin. Tickets are available here.
And then we have Darkest Hour, who are bringing Deliver Us on the road this coming July. Support will be in the form of Toxic Holocaust, Zao, and Bloodlet on select dates. Tickets are on sale now at this location.
Wardruna have released a new video for the live version of “Skugge”. Check it out here. First Flight of the White Raven is out on April 22nd, and can be pre-ordered here.
We’ll wrap up with some Swedish folk metal, in the form of Månegarm. The new video for “En snara av guld” is available below, the second single taken from Ynglingaättens Öde. That album is out on April 15th through Napalm Records… a label that owes me an email and two albums I ordered last year. Casual FYI.

I’m very tired. Let’s see what lurks in the inbox on this fine Monday.

Amorphis and Dimmu Borgir have announced an awesome co-headlining tour. The bad news? Only European dates so far – and there aren’t even many of those. Still, if your schedule allows it, you should dabble. Oh, and did I mention Wolves In The Throne Room will be supporting? Yeahhhhh.
In other tour news, Rotting Christ have had to back out of their performance at Psycho Las Vegas due to issues obtaining work visas. Shit happens. Not an easy process and changing band members only makes it more challenging. The blame, however, was directed entirely at the band and label by the festival team. From their account, they claim RC/Season of Mist waited way too long to submit their applications. The label owner responded with very good points. It’s all very dramatic.
In today’s random news, you can see the Slayer logo on NASCAR driver JJ Yeley’s car this weekend. Honestly, it’s a collaboration that kinda makes sense. Regardless, I’m not a NASCAR fan, so I’m going to forget about this basically as soon as I finish typing it.
Next month, specifically September 13th, Winterfylleth will be releasing a live album/DVD through Candlelight called The Siege of Mercia. The footage was taken from their performance at Bloodstock back in 2017. For a preview, check out their performance of “The Swart Raven” below. This is awesome, but I really really need to see them live eventually.

It’s rainin’.

First, some really sad news that surfaced last night. Tengger Cavalry frontman Nature Ganganbaigal has passed away. Details have not been made public as far as I am aware. Our thoughts are obviously with those close to Nature during this incredibly difficult time. If we learn anything more, we’ll relay the information.
Goatwhore have revealed a run of shows surrounding their appearance at Psycho Las Vegas. They’ll be supported by Ringworm, and most of the dates are in August. Because, well, that’s when Psycho Las Vegas is.
Alcest have revealed the title, artwork, and release date for their next album. Their sixth studio album will be called Spiritual Instinct and it drops on October 25th via Nuclear Blast. Yay.
Let’s wrap up with a folk post-metal band playing in a field. This is Baradj and the song is called “Hunnar”. Have fun. K bye.

So that Batushka news dropped yesterday, and I realize I’m not even sure which Batushka that was referring to… I basically just picture that Spiderman pointing meme when their name comes up now.

In case anyone is going to Psycho Las Vegas this year, here is your day-by-day lineup list. Also, I’m jealous. August will be here sooner than you know. Some form of tickets are on sale now as well.
In more festival news, Wacken Metal Battle USA 2019‘s National Final goes down on May 25th. One of Dissentience, Monarch, Nahaya, Toxic Ruin, and Violence System will earn the right to play at W.O.A. 2019. D-O-P-E-Dope.
The new Saint Vitus album drops tomorrow, but in case you can’t wait quite that long, you can stream the whole thing now. Hey, a day early is still a day early.
It’s been a solid decade or so new material came out from Cable, and I’m proud to say that wait is about to come to an end. Take The Stairs To Hell will be out July 26th through Translation Loss Records. Better yet, we get a new track called “Rivers of Old” right now.

CANTO: Deicide, Psycho Las Vegas, Whitechapel, and More

I think there’s a basketball game on or something.

Deicide have announced a North America headlining tour. Support will come from Origin, Jungle Rot, and The Absence. Dates are through May. This tour is going to be filthy.
Anybody else see this shit about bots buying out all the Metallica presale tickets for the S&M2 tour? People are NOT THRILLED. The drama is everywhere, but Metal Insider threw enough reactions in one place, so I’ll just share that.
Psycho Las Vegas has added a number of killer groups, including Deafheaven, Clutch, Carcass, and more. Check out the full updated lineup. And remember, there are still more bands to come!
Whitechapel have released a new video for “Hickory Creek”, which we’re going to watch now as a way to wrap things up. The Valley will be out next week, and Whitechapel will be on tour in April and May.
